The aim of the brigade is to protect lives and property from fires and other emergencies, as well a promoting fire safety and as a general support to the local community. The protection of lives and property is the primary responsibility of the Brigade. Fighting fire is obviously the main and most frequent role the we find ourselves in. The last major fires in our area were the colo fires (around Tinda Creek) in November 2006.
