Welcome
East Kurrajong Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade is located approximately 20 kms north west of Windsor NSW. The East Kurrajong Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade is a wholly volunteer brigade, which is part of the Hawkesbury Rural Fire Service organization.
East Kurrajong Brigade is made up of approximately 60 active firefighters and 20 supportive members. We have regular monthly meetings held on the 2nd Friday of each month at 8:00 pm. New Members are always welcome.
We have an active membership of well equipped and trained volunteer firefighters who specialize in providing protection from bush and grass fires, as well as property fires, motor vehicle accidents and hazardous materials incidents in our area.
The Brigade does a Santa Run on the Saturday before Christmas, and delivers hundreds of small lollie bags to the children of East Kurrajong.
Fire permits are required for open burning during the Bushfire Danger Period.
The Bushfire Danger Period runs from 1 October to 31 March.
